The ethnic outfits for babies and toddlers is not a design which is just a simple copy and paste of the elder’s design . We have to be watchful and responsible for the clothing as even minor sequins or mirror can pose such a terrifying choking incident if it not properly stitched. They may look great but not always suitable for them . Do not get carried away only by the designs. It is way round safety, comfortable and lastly design.Though it may sound a bit odd or paranoid to some never mind do your necessity as at the end of the day you are buying a peace of mind. My personal favorites being chikankari and soft pure silk materials.
- Too much of heavy embroidery work ,nets would only make the baby uncomfortable and turn the otherwise happy baby to a fussy one
- So the trick for making a baby wear traditional indian wear is soft with little traditional design and motifs maybe threadwork and no tight strings or elastic to make the baby itchy.
- For a baby boy a simple cotton ethnic kurta pyjama with bright colors works great. Even the soft silk ones also works fantastic.
- Do not go for lot of mirror work or sequins. Let it at the minimal: the simple reason being it can be a choking hazard for the young ones.
- The ideal for baby girls can be simple cotton bright colored lengha set or a salwar suit set.
- For the salwar suit set no fancy dupatta is necessary as it can turn hazardous for the baby.
- A colourful ethnic cotton full sleeve top with a leggings works fabulous
- The wise buy is cotton being chikankari work or go for soft pure silk materials.
- The pairing with beautiful silk booties with some cute motifs will make the fashion complete
- Lastly be conscious of the budget. These clothes are worn maybe 2 to 3 times and babies outgrow them very quickly.
